At Her Universe, fandom is everything. Since 2010, we’ve provided a brand and apparel that empowers women to embrace their inner fangirl and wear it proud. As the Social Media Specialist at Her Universe, you’ll be asked to quote Disney movies, show us your best lightsaber move and give us the download on your favorite Marvel superhero… then post a story about it on Instagram. We’re looking for someone obsessed with pop culture and the latest social media trends. The Social Media Specialist will run the @HerUniverse social accounts, ensuring creative and communications reflect the Company accurately.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Create and maintain the social media content calendar and track creative briefs for content and campaign assets
  • Create social media campaigns for collection launches and seasonal beats
  • Schedule all daily content on all social media channels
  • Work with Social Media Photographer, creative services, video production and merchants to create exciting content for all social media channels
  • Schedule all daily content on all social media channels
  • Responsible for social media campaign and content reporting and tracking
  • Ideate and execute sweepstakes, including prize fulfillment
  • Manage user-generated content; gain user approvals, approving and scheduling UGC
  • Manage influencer relationships, including seeding and campaigns
  • Brainstorm new and creative ways to amplify content and increase engagement

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or equivalent preferred
  • 2 to 3 years prior marketing experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, preferred
  • Experience with Facebook and Instagram Insights
  • Prior experience with blogging or running social media for other brands preferred
  • Illustrates a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly
  • Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator
  • Strong ability to multi-task and seamlessly move from project to project
  • Strong understanding of industry trends and demonstrated knowledge and proven ability to identify marketing opportunities
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change and maintains composure under pressure
  • Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues
  • Open to working nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel to events
