eCommerce Development Manager

We love loud music, pop culture and driving technology enhancements across the our digital footprint. We’re looking for an eCommerce Development Manager that will lead a team of developers in re-engineering, innovating and maintain our Salesforce Commerce Cloud eCommerce storefronts. You’ll work with the latest architecture (SFRA) and additional eCommerce related platforms. This individual must come with high technical acumen and great people management skills, while proven to drive and maintain a great customer experience. You can maintain a clean code base, lead others who do the same, and have familiarity with developing on enterprise eCommerce platforms. You’ll work with Product Management, Tech Lead and business partners to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to implement the solution. In addition, work to grow and professionally develop a team of backend and frontend developers.


  • Advise viable solutions to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team and reduce technical debt
  • Foresee capacity requirements for component usage and identifies limitations. Provides input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning
  • Standardize project development methodology for eCommerce solutions, including process, phase artifacts, coding conventions, design and programming guidelines
  • Builds software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders
  • Understands technical architecture and writes software that are aligned with agreed upon standards. Performs trouble-shooting efforts and investigations when necessary
  • Document design specifications, installation procedure, and other system-related information
  • Mentors and actively works with less experienced software engineers providing technical guidance and oversight
  • Ensures that all the deliveries are properly handed off to the support system group
  • Monitors and actively participates in the engineering community, staying up to date on new software technologies and best practices and shares insights with others in the organization, especially with Salesforce Commerce Cloud
  • Working experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems and components, client-facing web applications, and major Internet-oriented applications and systems on the Salesforce commerce cloud platform. This includes coding within multiple tech stacks
  • Understand HTML, CSS, Java Script and other related development technologies, performs various coding tasks, such as design, development and testing of Web front-end, back-end Web-based applications, and web services


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in developing eCommerce systems and applications
  • Must have Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud expertise. You’ve participated in at least 1 eCommerce platform related implementation and have dev experience on the front/back end
  • Agile, SCRUM and Waterfall methodology experience
  • Must be proficient in middleware technologies including NodeJS and SSIS
  • Application development expertise in Java, J2EE and Spring based systems
  • Hands on experience in web technology areas covering HTML, Javascript/Common JS modular programming, JQuery, AMPScripting with good understanding of responsive UI frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Deep knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), relational database and integration technologies
  • Proficient in data interchange methodologies such as JSON based data manipulation, XSL transformation
  • GIT based confirmation management knowledge and hands on experience with development productivity tools such as Postman, Eclipse, VS Code, SFTP/WebDAV tools
