Description
Do you love numbers and being Analytical? We are looking for an Omni-Channel Allocation Analyst to join our team! In this role, you will lead a team of Allocation Analysts and partner with the Planners and Buyers to develop allocation plans and optimizes the financial results for the assigned merchandise categories.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manages and develops allocation strategies that address business changes and objectives; ensures allocation analysts understand strategies and execution impact and react accordingly.
- Interprets impact on allocation execution and revisits the strategies with the planning and buying team as changes occur in trends and company objectives.
- Ensures that analysts have a deep understanding of allocation system variables and demonstrate the appropriate use within our allocation system; recommends changes based on specific allocation needs; stays current with changes to Arthur allocation and be able to advocate and validate reasons for upgrades.
- Reviews all assortment plans by category for both initial buys and reorders to support financial objectives and store needs; ensures the appropriate depth/breath of styles by volume group; may support regional buying strategy.
- Manages the monthly review of allocation strategy to ensure partnership among planning, allocation, and buying teams; ensure strategy supports company objectives while minimizing sales risk and markdown exposure by location.
- Reviews over/under stores on a weekly basis with the Analyst to evaluate their allocation strategies to address inventory imbalances.
- Initiates analysis of business trend, including regional, category, and size selling. Train analyst to perform analysis.
- Leads the team to build on relationships and solicit feedback from the field through effective communication.
- Manages and supports the development of Analyst; create an environment that supports and rewards strong performance and professional growth.
- Establishes cross-functional relationships to promote best practices and process adherence; fosters teamwork.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, some business administration coursework desired.
- At least 2 - 3 years of progressive experience as an Allocation Analyst and 1 – 2 years of management experience with proven leadership abilities
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; computer proficient with Microsoft applications, and Merchandise Planning systems)
- Illustrates a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly.
- Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator.
