You don’t need to have Superman’s laser vision, but you need to have an eye for detail and aesthetic! We’re looking for an experienced Manager, Brand Marketing. The Manager, Brand Marketing is responsible for the strategic planning and development of marketing initiatives & campaigns, which result in effective marketing strategies that uphold Hot Topic as the ultimate music, fashion and pop culture destination. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Works with brand leadership to ensure campaigns support brand initiatives, vision, and customer experience, engagement and guest growth
  • Ideate and build breakthrough marketing campaigns with powerful language and storytelling
  • Owns campaign kick-off and timelines to ensure that all other support teams communicate necessary information in a timely fashion
  • Manage existing licensor relationships including day-to-day execution and follow-ups of marketing tactics
  • Oversee execution brand marketing integrations into consumer facing digital marketing platforms
  • Executes experiential marketing events 
  • Monitor business and campaign health using data and insights to drive decision making
  • Optimize brand positioning and go to market strategies by identifying key marketing opportunities and white space including but not limited to external activations (Convention booths, Tour sponsorships, in-store activations etc.)
  • Collaborates with Social Media Team to create campaigns to grow engagement and membership on social media platforms
  • Partners with cross divisional teams (i.e. Merchants, Creative, Ecommerce, Legal, Store Ops, etc.) to ensure campaigns are fully integrated and compliant 
  • Responsible for campaign measurement and collaboration with the brand team 
  • Provides content team with direction and aligns with the copy team on brand voice to ensure consistency in execution
  • Manages Sr. Brand Marketing Specialist
  • Performs other job duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 5+ years marketing experience preferably in retail, brand or franchise marketing
  • Bachelor’s level degree, preferably in Marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure
  • Accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues
