The program provides Interns valuable real life experiences, hourly pay, along with a structured 10 week work plan that is designed to fully immerse you in the retail and ecommerce business.

How do all those band tees hit the website? Does all of the merchandise online live in a warehouse somewhere? Where did my Batman hoodie come from and how did it get to me so fast?! Don't worry, you'll learn all of this and more by working directly with one of the key drivers for Hot Topic's ECommerce business - Print on Demand (aka POD). Our Ecommerce Merchandise Intern will provide support for our POD team by communicating and following up with internal and external partners to track new items, skus, issues & product updates on our licensed and non-licensed apparel categories.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide Admin support to Print on Demand Team
  • Learn how to extract sales reports from system to publish to the internal and external partners
  • Create Print On Demand skus & update information (description, theme, material content, cost and retail changes) for items, enter and track price changes
  • Maintain POD worksheets with details as provided by suppliers
  • Activate and ensure POD styles go live on the website in a timely manner without error. Deactivate styles as needed.
  • Coordinate production samples with licensing team for licensor approvals
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Recent graduate or within 6 months of graduation with a BA, MBA or BS degree
  • Associates Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience
  • Product Development or Merchandising knowledge is helpful. The more you know about product life cycle, the better!
  • Knowledge on pop culture & music; it's super helpful if you have a passion for our product!
  • Analytical skills and quantitative abilities. You can crunch numbers and aren't afraid of the words: analysis & Microsoft Excel
  • Smells like Team Spirit – you thrive in a group environment and work great on a team!
  • Ability to work on-site at our HQ in City of Industry, CA at least two days per week
  • Full time availability for the duration of the internship from June 13th - August 19th
