Love our aesthetic? As a Jr. Photographer at Hot Topic Inc. you'll photograph and process product imagery for brand websites, as well as contribute to the photography and processing of eCommerce off model photography, email/marketing campaigns and landing pages. This position reports to the Sr. Photographer.

This role operates from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA five days a week.

Pay range is $24/hr - $25.50/hr

Please note the pay range for this position starts as listed in the job posting, but other factors such as an individual’s education, location, meeting the minimum job requirements for the role, training and experience, will determine the final salary for potential new hires.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to conducting in-house photo shoots of both flat and accessory products, utilizing proper lighting and photography techniques to enhance the eCommerce product imagery on the websites
  • Photograph and process images in a timely manner, in order to meet associated deadlines and web inventory availability dates
  • Partner with Jr. Stylists for appropriate use and merchandise to ensure a smooth photo shoot process
  • Explore creative ways to enhance imagery of the assigned brand to keep it contemporary and cutting edge while maintaining brand identity
  • Responsible for the maintenance, organization, and cleanliness of the in-house photo studios
  • Perform other job duties, which will include laydowns and on model social media imagery, as directed by Sr. Photographer

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 1-2 years of professional photography experience with styling knowledge
  • Experience in studio and specialty lighting
  • Experience shooting fashion apparel accessories
  • Experience shooting flat/product photography
  • Photoshop experience required
  • Competent in composing an image with imagination and creativity as well as a good technical understanding of photography and digital camera operation
  • Ability to manage workflow and volume shooting to meet website output goals
  • Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure
  • Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift/move up to 50 pounds. May lift/move up to 30 pounds occasionally
  • Regular travel is not expected though travel for some projects may be needed
